Gospel Coach Training
The SBCAL is partnering with Dr. Tom Wood and Church Multiplication Ministries to provide coaching and coach training for associational leaders. Tom is the co-author of the book, Gospel Coach. His approach is a Gospel-centered model, helping those practicing it to stay focused on our primary task of making disciples. It is a blend of coaching and mentoring. While there are other good coaching models, we believe the Gospel Coach approach will serve SBCAL and AMSs very well.
If you are interested in being trained, the date for associational leaders to begin the next Gospel Coach training is September 23-25, 2025, at the Hilton Atlanta Airport, Atlanta, GA. SBCAL members receive a 20% discount or you can buy one at the regular price and a fellow AMS, a pastor, or someone else can go free. In essence, two for the price of one! 1. 20% off the registration - use coupon code "CODE20" in the "Enter Discount Code" section under "Quantity". 2. Buy one, get one free. For this deal, we need ONE person to register first and pay in full. Then, they need to return to the same registration link to register the second individual using coupon code "BOGO" in the "Enter Discount Code" section under "Quantity". The price includes 2 ½ days of training, materials (book & training manual), lunch/snacks, 12 online trihort practicum sessions, and a 360-degree evaluation. You are responsible for breakfast, dinner, and lodging. Our first priority is to help AMSs learn these coaching methods so that we can help one another in associational ministry. We will also be able to use this in our own associations, helping pastors and leaders in coaching relationships. For more information, contact Dr. Daniel Clark, AMS, North Central Association, Clinton, AR, who serves as our SBCAL Gospel Coach Liaison - [email protected], 479-831-9796.
