​SBCAL welcomes as members not only current associational leaders, but also pastors, prospective and retired associational leaders, and state convention and SBC entity personnel that work closely with associations and associational leaders.


 Only members are able to serve in leadership and are able to vote during the Business Sessions each year.

  • Free online Access ($97 value) to the Emergency Transition Management resource by Will Heath, author of "Embracing Succession: Helping Ministry Leaders Confront the Personal Side of Transition.”
  • Alliance Defending Freedom’s Church Alliance discounted associational rate, which also enables your churches to join at a discounted rate. The cost for associations with annual revenue less than $100,000 a year is only $200 a year. Membership fees for churches is based on average attendance.
  • Ministry Insights Certification: 50% off the regular rate; Over twenty years ago, Dr. Rodney Cox founded Ministry Insights International—a ministry dedicated to strengthening relationships in ministry, the marketplace, marriages, and families. Since then, Rodney has become one of the country’s leaders in the strengths movement.   • Gospel Coach Training: 20% discount. This training is 2 ½ days, and includes materials (book & training manual), lunch/snacks, 12 online trihort practicum sessions, and a 360-degree evaluation. This training helps AMSs learn Gospel Coaching methods so that we can help one another in associational ministry and help our pastors and leaders in coaching relationships.
